Most TITAN self-storage customers go there to store their belongings, but when the housing association needed help with renovations, we bent the rules.
CHALLENGE
A housing cooperative in Copenhagen, Denmark, with seven properties, contacted us to see how we could help with a unique problem.
They had committed to renovating the basements of all their buildings, a process that would take several years.
Is there a way to allow residents to move their belongings stored in the basements to a local storage facility while the work is underway ?
SOLUTION
Working with the housing agency and local authorities, our Danish experts at TITAN developed a plan to erect over 15 secure storage containers on a piece of available land adjacent to the properties in question.
This temporary solution allowed residents to easily transport their belongings to a nearby storage facility and ensure they had access to them at any time .
This is the first time we’ve been asked to provide temporary storage in this way; more often than not, people come to one of our secure self-storage centers within walking distance of their homes (they haven’t arrived in Poland yet—watch this space!).
But the solution we’ve come up with clearly works.
This innovative temporary storage solution is something we can now offer to TITAN customers worldwide when circumstances require it (and logistics allow).
DELIVERY

RESULTS
While renovations are still underway, customer reports indicate that the temporary solution we chose was a hit ; we hope to provide a final verdict on this project soon.
There’s a good chance this type of temporary storage solution will be used again soon.
