With average daily temperatures well above 30 degrees Celsius, Greek wine producers needed a refrigeration solution to keep Syrah grapes at +5°C.
TITAN refrigerated warehouses to the rescue!

CHALLENGE

Greece is known for its heat for much of the year, making maintaining the precious Syrah grapes at the optimal temperature of 5°C somewhat challenging.
TITAN Containers Hellas was asked to develop a solution that would allow several renowned wineries in the country to keep their grapes in prime condition .

SOLUTION

After explaining to our team the importance of temperature during the winemaking process, growers from Domain Skouras, Domain Palyvos, Domain Harlaftis, Domain Michalakis and several other wineries were delighted to hear about our collectionArcticStore refrigerated warehouses .

This highly efficient refrigeration unit, available in 10-foot, 20-foot, and 40-foot sizes, has repeatedly proven its invaluable value in the food service industry .
However, Greek winemakers didn’t want to push their warehouses to their limits (-40°C), but required a constant temperature of +5°C.

They explained that this was the perfect temperature to preserve the juiciness of the Syrah grapes from which they produce their aromatic rosé wines.
This was well within the limits of the ArcticStore’s warehouse, which can maintain temperatures up to 45°C.

The wineries also rented our energy-efficient containers from the ArcticStore Tropical collection .

DELIVERY

Traversing the beautiful Greek vineyards on the back of flatbed trucks, our containers arrived at their destination. Once installed and cooled to the right temperature , the grapes were loaded into them, and all of Greece breathed a sigh of relief as they awaited next year’s vintage.

RESULTS

Our first foray into the wine sector proved a resounding success, and we’re now receiving a growing number of inquiries from customers around the world. TITAN’s ArcticStore
containers can be delivered anywhere in Poland , and we predict it’s only a matter of time before Polish residents start seeing them in Szczecin’s vineyards!
